Srinagar Nov. 15 (KNO) : The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed serious anguish over the damages caused to most revered shrine Khanqah E Moula in downtown Srinagar and described the incident as very unfortunate and disappointing. The Party mourned the incident and urged upon the Govt to undertake reconstruction work of damaged portion very urgently.
In a Statement Issued today, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President G.A. Mir has expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the fire incident caused due to major lightening, as reported, which has damaged the spire of the double story mosque during the intervening night of 14/15 Nov and described it as very unfortunate and disappointing.
G. A. Mir said although the incident has occurred due to lightening, but the authorities must conduct an enquiry to ascertain the other aspects of the incident.
G.A.Mir also complimented the locals especially youth of Khanqa area for their timely action, which helped in averting major losses (KNO)
